Mawlid program on February 28th by Struga Islamic Center Do të thotë "vendi dhe koha e lindjes," fjala "mawlid" është përdorur në. Bota islame për të shprehur nderuar përshëndetëse e Profetit Muhamed (as) në këtë botë. Që nga koha që ishte shkruar e parë ka qenë shumë kompozimeve vokale për këtë mawlid, i cili ka qenë lexohen me entuziazëm nga muslimanët për shekuj me radhë. Veçanërisht favorizuar nga muslimanët gjatë periudhës osmane, mevlud u lexoheshin veçanërisht në ditëlindjen e Profetit Muhamed (as), në ditët e shenjta dhe netë, dasma, circumcisions dhe në ceremonitë e respektimit të mëdha, vdekjet, lindjet, dërgoni humbura të ushtarëve dhe pelegrinëve, etj

About Albanians |  | 
Albanians are a group of people from southeast Europe who live in Albania and neighboring countries. They speak the Albanian language. Roughly half of Albanians live in Albania, with other large groups residing in Kosovo, the Republic of Macedonia and Montenegro. There are Albanian communities in a number of other countries including Turkey, Greece, Serbia and Italy. Distribution Approximately 6,5 million Albanians are to be found within the Balkan peninsula with only about half this number residing in Albania and the other divided mostly between Kosovo, Montenegro, the Republic of Macedonia. An estimated 3.2 million Albanians live in Albania, amounting to 98.6% of the country's total population, making Albania one of the ethnically most homogenous states of Europe. An estimated 2.5 million Albanians live in Kosovo. According to a 2008 report prepared for the National Security Council of Turkey by academics of three Turkish universities in eastern Anatolia, there were approximately 2.5 million Albanians living in Turkey, and current estimations are up to 5 million. In the United States the number reaches 113,661 according to the latest 2000 US Census which is published in 2004.
